I "purchased" this book when it as free a few weeks ago. I really, really liked this book and will be recommending it to new homeschoolers on a regular basis. This ebook, is NOT a comprehensive guide to homeschooling. I absolutely lives up to it's title of being about the fundamentals of homeschooling. What are the pros and cons unit studies? or a classical education? Is unschooling the same as not schooling? How do I find out the homeschooling laws in my state. What about "socialization" or college? These are all topics that the author covers in a conversational way, without being overwhelming. I've been homeschooling for 20 years and have read a LOT of homeschooling help books and I can honestly say that this ebook is a must have for any new homeschooler and for anyone who does not feel super confident in their homeschooling.Product details

I have been judging myself really bad because I felt like I had to conform to classroom like teaching, and I was reading some of the material with my kids in my bed. She made me feel like it's ok. My kids are learning and thriving so as long as it works for us we are keeping it. Thank you!!!
I wish this book was around when I started homeschooling! It is very informative. I appreciate that Tiffany isn't biased about any particular method of homeschooling. She simply lays out the options with their pros and cons.
OK beginner's guide.
A homeschooler I'm not. My kids have kids, yet reading this gem of a book made me feel that I missed out on a very special experience. Tiffany's "let's chat" style is packed full of do's and don'ts and try this. Her easy style of writing makes a how-to book read like a page turner. Bolded topics make it easy to find that certain bit of advice you want to see again. Tiffany's'been there -- done that" skill set and her savvy on this subject, qualify her to be the perfect guide for those who wish to be successful homeschoolers.
I got a wealth of knowledge from this book,it has come in handy.I will be referring to it again as there were tons of things that are useful.
Excellent book! I think it would've been very helpful when I was researching the idea of homeschooling my kids years ago. It covers a lot of questions that beginners might have, without being too overwhelming. I love the down-to-earth, friendly tone too. 5 stars for a great job and I hope to see a sequel by the author on homeschooling high schoolers in the future!
