This book makes me laugh so hard that no sound comes out while tears drench my face. Sometimes this kind of laughing really does hurt. Oh my gosh, I love this book and I had to have copy for my so it will be more convenient when I am stuck in a line or waiting room. If you are anything like me, people close by will wonder what's going on. Just let them know that they need to get a copy for themselves. The stories focus on real day-to-day life episodes with a husband and 3 kids over the years. Lois builds each story with just the right wit and words. Her style is perfectly written for my sense of humor. I cannot wait for her next book.

A joyful heart is good medicine, and Lois Swagerty's collection of hilarious essays is proof! This is the refreshing dose of humor I needed amid my collection of "practical" books about self help, cooking, and how not to ruin your children. I love her perspective on life, and how she draws out the hilarity in the every day. This book would make a great gift too!
